A foundational course on UTS threat vectors that helps participants assess their current posture and identify UTS risks. During this course, participants obtain a conceptual and practical understanding of UTS and Ubiquitous Data Collection (UDC) through case studies and scenario-based discussions. This course is appropriate for participants new to UTS concepts or those needing to integrate a UTS mindset into their core duties.
POLAR-101
A hands-on introduction to managing digital signatures using Ridgeline tech to visualize UTS threats. Participants develop baseline skills to mitigate UTS risks at home and abroad. Participants learn smart device fundamentals and essential strategies for managing data at rest and in transit. Insights addresses common use cases, including managing technology at home, work travel to sensitive sites, and international travel.
POLAR-EXEC: Executive Seminar Dates
A seminar that introduces senior leadership to UTS threats and provides best practices for managing enterprise digital signatures. The fundamental concepts discussed equips leaders with the ability to assess current unit or office posture, identify practical steps to mitigate UTS risks, and shape future policy and resource decisions.
M3: Travel Router for General Data Protection Dates
Participants use knowledge of basic network components and a GL.iNet travel router to mitigate data leakage while testing configured devices and assessing the efficacy of security protocols. Take-home: GL.iNet travel router, 1-year VPN subscription, and associated software
M3: Travel Router for Executive Data Protection Dates

M3: Raspberry Pi TAK Server Dates
Participants learn basic and intermediate TAK functionality and how to build, load, and test their own working TAK server. This course incorporates the use of TAK software, cellular devices, and Raspberry Pi. Take-home: Raspberry Pi and associated software
M3: Raspberry Pi Mobile Travel Router Dates
Using open source software, participants build their own working travel router with cellular modem. Participants are exposed to the relevant network components and data and test their own routers on a live cellular network. This course incorporates the use of VPNs, cellular data SIMs, and Raspberry Pi. Take-home: Raspberry Pi with cellular hat, 1-year VPN subscription, and associated software
M3: Residential Alarm Systems Analysis Dates
Participants will become familiar with the basic components of a residential alarm system and survey a live alarm system. The course will cover identification of pertinent components, creating schematics, wiring, and labs. Take-home: Class-wired alarm panel
M3: Wireless Key Fob Signal Analysis & Replay Dates
Participants build a radio frequency remote key transceiver and use receiving and transmitting tools to capture signals in, identify the desired signal, and configure hardware and software to replay the desired signal. This course incorporates the use of software defined radios, transmitter fobs, and laptops. Take-home: RTL SDR, practice key, fob and associated software
